Meghan Pawlus, legal counsel and compliance director at TerSera Therapeutics, leads the charge in ensuring the pharmaceutical company’s adherence to compliance regulations. With a focus on day-to-day operations, monitoring, and auditing programs, Pawlus advises the executive team on compliance risks and strategies and plays a pivotal role in business development, product launches, and acquisitions.
Pawul is the key point person for integrating new products into TerSera’s compliance program, and she navigates the everchanging pharmaceutical legal landscape. Pawlus collaborates closely with external counsel to maintain the company’s compliance in line with government regulations.
Beyond her professional role, the former member of the University of Wisconsin women’s golf team finds joy in family time with her husband Marc and their six-month-old baby, Vivienne, while indulging her passion for golf in her free moments.
Who was your first fictional legal inspiration and why?
Atticus Finch from Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird was my first fictional legal inspiration due to his unwavering commitment to justice, his integrity, and the moral values he worked to instill in his children.
What’s a piece of unconventional advice you’ve received that was helpful?
A mentor of mine told me not to chase perfection. I find this advice particularly helpful because it encourages me to take action and to make progress without getting bogged down by the pursuit of perfection.
